Claimant wins £3,000 Award after Suffering Sickness in Egyptian Resort

Simpson Millar Solicitors have won another case involving Food Poisoning while holidaying abroad.

The company that specialises in compensation for holidaymakers were approached by Mr and Mrs Hillson who claimed they got ill from what they believed to be food poisoning while away and residing at the Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt.

Both the Northamptonshire couple fell ill during their holiday at the Egyptian resort and called Simpson Millar on their return claiming the experience had marred their otherwise enjoyable holiday.

One of Simpson Millar's experienced Holiday Illness Claims Specialists Simon Lomax took on the Hillson's case. When approached, the operator who oversaw the holiday was happy to agree to a settlement of £3,000 out of court.

This fair result was welcomed by Mr Hillson who accepted the compensation payment by praising Simpson Millar's service saying: "I was thoroughly satisfied with every aspect".

Mr Hillson also complimented Simon Lomax in particular saying how he came as across as 'extremely helpful, patient with our enquiries and dealt with the whole case in exemplary fashion.'

"Thankfully the UK has some very good consumer laws. The Package Travel Regulations enable holidaymakers to claim compensation for injuries and illness if the holiday was arranged through a package tour company such as Thomson Holidays, Thomas Cook or First Choice".
