“Holidaymakers who suspect they may have ingested the giardia lamblia bug are advised to speak with their doctor and insist on a stool sample being taken. Those holidaymakers returning home from the Sol Cayo Coco suffering from illness caused by food or water poisoning can also expect to be contacted by the Environmental Health as Giardiasis is a communicable disease.”
