Thomas Cook Pays £20,800 for Shigella Illness Victims at the Tropicana Azure Club

Simpson Millar LLP Solicitors recently secured compensation for 8 holidaymakers struck down by severe gastroenteritis whilst staying at the Tropicana Azure Club resort in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.

The holidaymakers who booked a package holiday through Thomas Cook, the 2nd largest UK leading tour operator, developed symptoms consistent with dysentery, an issue which was later confirmed after tests revealed the bacterial pathogen, Shigella Sonnei.

The holidaymakers concerned suffered symptoms which included profuse diarrhoea, stomach cramps, fever, tiredness, fatigue and headaches which lasted for several days.
